queasy when nursing?

Just curious whether anyone else has experienced this?? Especially in the first few months after DD was born, whenever she nursed I would get a weird feeling in my stomach. She is 9 months now and it happens less frequently, but if I have just eaten and she wants to nurse it makes me feel kind of sick. I have never actually vomited, and the feeling goes away after a few minutes.

Yep, happened to me w/ both kids, and got better the older they got. I've heard that many other moms have this too. People think it's an effect of the hormones during letdown.

I was wondering about this! Glad to know it's normal.

Same thing happens to me at least every few days. When she was youger it was also nearly every nursing. DD is 6 months - I keep waiting for it to pass.

Thanks for replying! I haven't read anything about this, so I was wondering what it was. Good to know I am not the only one.

Me too. It happened with both my boys, and both times it started to ease up around six months. It's still happening with my second, who is eight months, but a lot less frequently. I suspect it will be gone entirely soon.

Yes! It eventually turned into a wave of AWFUL depression that only lasts for about five seconds; I always know when my milk is about to let down by this feeling!
