Red bumps/bites/rash

My LO has these little red bites on her knees, ankles, a few on her feet, some on the sides of her hands, on her knuckles, and a few scattered on her thighs. We're staying at my IL's right now, cosleeping on a pullout sofa mattress on the floor. She's also teething, has had a fever come and go for two days (first molars), and is starting to get some diaper rash, which is not really red, but small light, scattered dots. I have been putting bottom balm and another zinc oxide rash cream on her from the first sight of it, so it seems to be okay.

But these...bites? I think they might be bites. Can anyone help diagnose this? Some appear to be filled with yellowish/white fluid. Ant bites?

My niece was staying here, too, and she got larger bites on her knees that were clearly filled with fluid. My MIL said that they must have come from the pack n play that my SIL brought with her. But they've been gone for a few days now, and MY DD is starting to show these bites.

I'm not overly worried if they *are* bites, aside from the fact that they look uncomfortable. I just don't want to misdiagnose a rash or something worse.

Thoughts? TIA, mamas.

Could it be hand foot mouth? My dd2 just got over this and she had blisters on her hands and feet and a rash of smaller red dots on her arms and legs (particularly her knees) and diaper area.

ETA: she had a fever off and on before the blisters and rash showed up too.

**Hi Beachamp-fellow June 09 DDC** Interesting- my daughter just had some bumps show up similar to what you are describing- one on her head and one on her forearm. They look red on the outer, raised, yellow in the center, reminds me of a pimple. Same age- she is getting her molars in, but has none of the other stuff going on...The one on her head doesn't seem as aggrivated but the one on her forearm is a little more aggrivated than the one on her head ever got.

have you seen any on yourself? I hate to utter the dreaded word, but could it be...bedbugs?

don't know about OP but not quite what our bites look like, will go home and get a picture if I can- only thing worse is mentioning lice in a daycare- makes me cringe and itch all over!

You know, it totally could be hand foot mouth. She doesn't seem to have the mouth part, though. Although it is really hard to get a 1yo teething molars to open her mouth.

I have been slathering Weleda diaper rash cream on her legs...
