one breast very low-producing

i am a low-supply mama who works very hard to ensure i have enough milk for my two-month old. so far so good...

but i have an odd situation with my output. my left breast produces almost three times as much as my left. i cannot figure it out.

i also have to pump the left first or the right won't go through a letdown cycle and sometimes I get almost nothing out of my left through the medela electric pump but can hand pump about an ounce.

any ideas of why this happens and what i can do to make it better?

I have the same problem though I am not a low supply momma (yet!). Going to lurk here

my right breast is very low producing, sometimes only 0.5-1oz with a hospital grade pump. this breast is appreciably smaller than the other and didn't really grow while i was pregnant.

i'm chalking it up to breast hypoplasia. do you think you possibly have it too?

I have low supply also. My daughter is now 7 months old and between 2 and 3 months she hadn't gained any weight. I saw a lactation consultant, LLL leader and spoke with my midwife. They all suggested goat's rue (french lilac) to increase production. I had also been taking fenugreek and blessed thistle since her birth. I did notice an increase in my supply (she became happier at the breast, stayed latched longer, stopped falling asleep at the breast) and began to slowly gain weight.
Best to you and you little one.
