Can I say we made it to 2 years??? Update post 12

DD will be 2 on Friday and is still nursing 2-4 times a day. When I say nursing, I should say 'dry nursing', since I am 7 months pregnant and my milk dried up at 4 weeks. She doesn't seem to be swallowing or anything and I don't think the colostrum has come in. I really want her to control weaning, so I have continued offering at least 3 times a day.

Anyways, can I really say we made it to 2 years?

Absolutely. I breastfed for 1 year and nearly 11 months...but I always say 2 years Congratulations!

Just to add, I think the colostrum is here and DD has found a new enthusiasm for nursing. She went from 3 times a day and has been asking at least 6 times now. She loves her milk again!

Of course you can! My turned-two-last-month daughter *loves* the colustrum. She is now nursing 10+ times a day. I feel like my nipples are going to fall off some days. oy!

Hi Ladies-

Here I am almost a year later and I am proud to say still going strong with both DDs.  We continued to nurse all through the pregnancy and DD2 was born in Sept. and now we have been tandem for almost 9 months.  Not always perfect, but so glad we have stuck with it.  DD1 will be 3 in less than a month!
