domperidone dosage question

My son is 6.5 months old, and I have been taking dom for 2+ months. Frequent nursing, pumping, an herbs have not helped, so I had to start the dom. It has helped, but I have to take 4 pills, 4 times a day in order to produce what my baby needs. When I try to wean it down, my supply goes down and baby is hungry and cranky, and I can tell I have no milk for him. So, my question is - I know 16 pills a day is the max dose for dom, but can I safely continue this for the time I am nursing? I plan to go at least 6 more months. I still pump frequently, and we nurse all the time, sometimes every 2 hours, even at night. I had oversupply at 3 months, and I nursed my first son, now 3, for 21 months with no issues. Not sure what gives. I know there is a sticky on dom somewhere in these threads, but I couldn't find it.

i jsut started dom, but i have read every single thread on it from mothering while searching. dom is given to babies who have reflux, so i would say it is perfectly safe while nursing long term. although some women have expressed concern weight wise. some say it keeps weight on, some say it makes you hungier (faster stomach emptying) and therefore they gain weight on it. i have been on it one week tomorrow and have not been hungrier.
can i ask how much of an increase pump-wise you've had? i'm ep'ing right now.

IDK the answer for you, I'm getting ready to start it as soon as it comes in. Where did you all get the domperidone if you don't mind me asking. I had to order it in another country b/c I couldn't find anyone to prescribe it in the U.S. I worry about the safety of it, would like to see some threads on it...
