Would you rent materials?

find materials to be very expensive, and I want lots of different things. I am thinking of starting a rental/library business in my area. You pay a monthly subscription, and can swap materials/toys as desired. Would you consider this, or do you prefer to own materials?

This would be great. I would give this service a try if it was local to me.

I like owning my own, especially because most the materials have extensions that can be done long after their introduction. Plus, I have a second child who will be entering the 3-6 curriculum just as my first is leaving it, so I basically will be using the materials for 6 years. I think that's a little long to rent them for.

I would be really into renting. In fact, I was looking for (or thinking about looking for) rentals online a few weeks ago. Some things they don't use for very long or use and come back to later, I think. Plus, I just don't have the space for storage.
