AF is MIA~~~UPDATE again with Beta~~~

I don't know if this is the proper place for this, so if not please move.

Background: Charting loosly since 2007, average for 47 cycles is 22 days. I don't ovulate except when on Clomid. Pregnant in 2008 via IVF due to endo, blocked tube, ectopic, PCOS. Delivered in Aug 2009. First PPAF 7 weeks after delivery. Since then I have had very consistent 17-19 day cycles. I bleed for 10 days, then wait 7 and start spotting again.

Today is CD 31 http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/16ed0d
I don't temp due to waking up to nurse my almost 10 month old every few hours. I did have lots of EWCM all through out my cycle without any dry up that was noticed. 2 tests.

What do you think is going on? And at what point should I start to become concerned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Took a test this morning at CD 37 and it came up very I don't know when this could have happened looking at my chart...unless I missed a day of BD there somewhere. Well I guess I am off to the Dr this morning to get my Beta drawn. Wish me luck.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beta was 226. I go again on Sat and hopefully there is a nice rise.

Here's a few thoughts-
when you were charting, did you O on your own? how was your LP? 22 days+endo makes me think maybe you weren't ovulating?

As for your cycles right now, I have endo and that's how my pp cycles returned. basically bleeding all the time. I'm certainly no expert at all, but here's my guess at what's been happening for you-

- you haven't been O'ing and the short cycles you've been are anovulatory (which very often is totally normal @ 10 mos pp w/ nursing) OR you've been O'ing, but your LP is way too short (also totally normal w/ a nursling that young)
- now that you're getting further pp, your body is trying to O, but maybe hasn't yet, hence the no dry up and longer cycle.

It can be totally normal for cycles lengths to be completely wacked out by nursing. (not to mention endo, but I'm sure you already know that...)

Since you're not very far pp, I wouldn't worry a huge ton, but, with all that fertile CM, I personally would consider starting temping and/or OPKs. It is a personal call on when you might worry, but I'd give your body a few more months at least to sort out being a nursing pp mom.

Good luck to you.

Baby Grey- I think in the 47 cycles that I charted I ovulated 4 times, 3 of those being from Clomid. So you are correct I don't ovulate. I believe that is why my cycles have always been short is because I am anovulatory. That is why being at CD31 has me puzzled.

Hmm. I am just thinking that you could be having a wacky cycle. Happens to most people once in a while I think.

It could be your body has been gearing up to try to O???

If it goes on, you could just go to the doc and get checked out. I'm the opposite of you..I have super long, sometimes anovulatory cycles. I have been charting almost 7 months and am on my 4th cycle during that time. Of those 4, I am only positive that I O'ed twice, although I am pretty sure I O'ed again this time..we'll see..

Anyway I would just say go to the doc if it keeps going on this way that is so abnormal for you. For me 31 days would be no big deal but I know if you were used to 17 days or so, it would be really wierd!

AF still has not shown up and another negative test yesterday. I think it would be positive by now if I had ovulated. I am scheduled for surgery to remove my gallbladder on the 29th, so I think I will call my Dr and ask for a beta so that we know for sure that I am not pregnant.

Crazy story! Congratulations!

Congrats! My guess is that you probably ovulated around CD 24-25 and the last time you tested, you just didn't have enough hormones in your system yet.

congratulations

I agree, I think you Oed at CD24 so a test at CD31 would be only 7dpo and really early to get a BFP - congrats!

Beta came in at 226. The Dr assumed it was low considering when I started my last AF, but I told him that I don't believe I ovulated until day 24. He then said that it is in the normal range.

Thanks for all the congrats!! My second beta came back today and it was 612. I go in on Tuesday for an ultrasound to make sure that it isn't an ectopic.
