Hi ladies,

What are your thoughts on this article?
I hope this is the right forum for this question.

I think this is part of the campaign to keep most americans ill through fear tactics. The dose is set too low to do any good to the body according to some other scientists. I read scientific reports and studies for my information, I no longer believe anything from the government or typical 'health' professionals. I believe there is an agenda to depopulate the earth being played out right now. Limiting our nutrients, spilling oil in the ocean, taking all the goods and money and funneling it to the top 1% through many years, and then blatantly in the last 2 years. The robbers are not even wearing masks anymore, they now smile and saying good day dumba** on the way out. Here are some links to information about vitamin D and its healing properties.

"The Vitamin Council offers this great quote, “Living in America today while worrying about vitamin D toxicity is like dying of thirst in the desert while worrying about drowning.” "

even this more mainstream site says this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin...e_by_ingestion

"For infants (birth to 12 months) the tolerable Upper Limit (maximum amount that can be tolerated without harm) is set at 25 micrograms/day (1000 IU). 1000 micrograms/day (40,000 IU) in infants has produced toxicity within 1 month"

disclaimer: I am not a health professional, nor do I play one on tv. Since there is so much disinformation provided by those in power, one must research the dosage, needs, uses and effects of everything for themselves. I give my children and myself vitamin d in the winter because we live in a very low sunshine area of the country. I take 4000 IU, I give the 18 mo about 800 IU and 1500 IU to the older dd. If we are exposed to a germ, I increase the dose for all of us. If we get sun, I skip it.

Wow thanks Karika.
I love this quote:

“Living in America today while worrying about vitamin D toxicity is like dying of thirst in the desert while worrying about drowning.” "

Thanks for all your input. Sounds like you really have strong convictions about the system.

I think that article was written for the same reason that the mini clip-on fan I just bought came with a full page of warnings on how not to electrocute myself using it or somehow maim myself or my children. There's a belief that we are WAY too stupid to keep ourselves alive these days, so we need to be told exactly what to do and what not to do.

We are supposed to rely on experts for every.single.decision we make.

And I agree with the PP poster, I've not seen any data that 400 IU is the maximum safe dosage.

The FDA is a total joke plain and simple.

Considering that the human body can make a total of 10,000 IU of D per day in adequate sunshine, it's ludicrous to imagine that our natural defenses are toxic. All of the people sunbathing regularly on the beach would be dropping like flies!

I think the main reason is the elevation of big pharma and the very wrong view of how chemicals are the answers to healing... instead of what the body naturally is meant to run on: nutrients. But there is no money in patenting nutrients as there is in creating a chemical "miracle compound".
