I live in mexico, these are basically THE options. My son has been getting sick every other month, he takes only homeopathic remedies.

Can you please tell me what you think? Pharmaton kiddi or Centrum kids?
And do you only give 1 or 2 tablets, or can you do large dosage?

Thank you very very much!

I've never heard of Pharmaton but I personally wouldn't to centrum period. I realize that's all you have available to you BUT IMO I would only give a multi If it's 100% whole food because taking a synthetic low grade vitamin like centrum will only cause more issues. Centrum isnt very bioavailable ykwim?

I would look at his diet perhaps? Can you vit D3 anywhere?

i don`t like multivit very much either...I guess I just don`t know what road to take this time. his ped sais that I have to go through the whole treatment, but I forget the 3 or 4 times a day remedies during 2 or 3 months...and my son gets tired of it also.

I`m giving huge doses of vitc, but i thinks it`s not enough. I`ll look into the vitD3, thanks!

How old?

Possible he has food allergies/intolerances? Recurrent sicknesses and ear infections are often pointed to dairy allergy/intolerance.

At that latitude in Mexico, sunshine is the best form of D3 to "take". Let him stay in the sun everyday in a swimsuit w/o suncreen stopping before he burns. Interestingly enough, the higher your vit. D blood levels, the less you will burn, I have personally noticed this.

I wouldn't do chemical vitamins. They do not act the same in body as whole natural nutrients from foods. We do superfood vitamin supplements. High vitamin cod liver oil and natural vitamin C in form of acerola or amla or camu powder (chemical ascorbic acid form of vitamin C can cause bioflavonoid deficiency from whole C complex). Probiotics have also been very important for both me and my DS.

We take D3 in fall/winter/spring and a smaller amount during summer (we are in Massachusetts) and also eat organ meats or take liver tablets.

Agreed but I don't think she has access to many supplements

yes, that´s the problem here. not much access to good supplements.

I got his cod liver oil yesterday...but this one it tastes awful. it´s even hard for me to take. when we were in spain, he´d drink it like juice, but not this one. i´ll keep doing my best!

just looking for a possible way of getting his inmune sistem up. i also have a feeling it´s emotional also...he got sick when his grandmother left for a trip, got sick when father´s day preps started at school (i´m divorced, his dad is in spain) and now he got sick the day after his grandmother got back... coincidence? i don´t think so...

thank you very very much!!
