Middle name advice and suggestions

I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow. Will go in for an ultrasound in about 2 weeks where we will hopefully find out the sex of this little one. So this might not matter in the least....

We've settled on a girl's name. Rachel Quinn. Her initials will be RQR and for some reason I think that's just awesome.

Boy's name. Tyson......somebody. We originally thought James, but dh isn't that keen on it. He is a teacher and associates the name James with too many students that he would rather forget (which makes naming babies in general a massive pain in the butt). I don't care all that much but want something that sounds "right." Looking for any help.

I'm having the same problem with boy names. My last son I let dh choose his first name and I gave him my fathers name as a middle name. I think a lot of people use a family members name.

Random ideas...

Tyson McLane
Tyson McKenzie
Tyson Anthony
Tyson Lucas
Tyson Gregory
Tyson Dominic

I think Tyson Gregory is my favorite of those. Good luck!

I'd say we're somewhat conservative, Christian, midwestern folks. I don't want a name that anyone wouldn't know how to pronounce. We like to travel, have considered a couple "location" type names but discarded them. (Drummond was a thought for a while - an island where dh's grandparents live and we are very attached to it. But "Drum" as a nickname sounded way too close to "dumb" for us. I don't like the way that Tyson Drummond rolls off my tongue.) We've exhausted any family names, either we don't like the name or the person .

I do like the suggestion of Tyson Alexander so far. Alexander was a contender for DS 7 years ago.

What about a J middle name, so he could go by TJ if he wanted?

Jeremy
Jack/Jackson
Joshua
Jared
Jacob
John
Jonathan
Justice

when im picking names i like to go with a middle name that has a different feel to it, like it might fit another type of person, so that they at some point have a choice to go with the one that fits their personality better. so if the first name it classic then the middle name is modern or edgy, if the first name is sweet then the middle name is strong.

after that "sounds right is the big thing for me as well. for that criteria, i like Tyson Lucas the best so far.

Alexander is a wonderful middle name IMHO. It has a nice cadence and flows with a lot of different first names.
