First MW appoint at 32wk 2days!!!

I had my last appointment with my family doctor today (at 31 weeks and 2 days), I was supposed to go at 30 wks, but I forgot to make an appointment, lol.

Anyways, since we live in a small community, at around the 30week mark they start sending you to the next city over (45 mins away) since that is the closest hospital to have a baby at, and you get to meet with the OB's there.

So we planned it so that once my appointments were finished with my local family doctor, instead of seeing the OB's at the hospital, I would start seeing my midwife(s) (who also live in the next city over, and I will go to their office there for my appointments from now on) and have a home birth!

I'm quite excited about meeting with the midwifes and that I'll get to have the home birth that I've been wanting
Just had to share

Thanks!

I am in Canada too, lol
We didn't decide on a home birth until later in the pregnancy which is why I never called her sooner.

I could have seen her sooner but would have to make a 1hr drive each way with my 3yr old to do so, so for convenience sake, I continued to see my regular doctor locally until the time when he would normally send me to the other town anyways.
(Since our tiny hospital doesn't do births here, they send you to the one that does at around 30 weeks so you can start to meet the OB's there so you go into labor and the on call OB comes in, you will have at least met him/her a couple of times before hand.)
