ok so I orderd a sugar peas wool cover, small. I am not happy with it.i am pregnant so its not the fit or way it works. I just thought it would be thicker and stiffer. does that make sense? I had some wool with ds2 and I loved it, mostly longies and some unknown covers. our house burned down or I would still have them I am on a web site and it looks like the kind of wool I want, but now don't know??
what kind of wool am I looking for, as in what is it called? jersey? knit-not hand made? interlock?? I have no idea!!! help!!

I'm afraid I have no idea what it is you're looking for. But Sugar Peas has a couple different types. They have interlock in either one layer (day weight) or two layer (night weight) and they have flannel. Interlock stretches where flannel does not.

I will warn you about the SP covers though - IME they only fit well over their own dipes. Don't get me wrong, I love my SP wool + snap in dipes, used them constantly before he became mobile, but those particular covers do not fit over any of the rest of our dipes.

You may be looking for jersey - and honestly something more along the lines of sustainable babyish's karate pants might be more what you're looking for. For myself, most of my wool is knit - babyology, kozy wool, or handknits, along with a couple wool flannel (2 layer) covers made by a WAHM. They're all far sturdier than the SP 1 layer interlock cover.

thank you. I did get the snap in with it! I am sure it'll work ok. I wonder if I can just go to a fabric store and buy some wool and make some? I am so confused. maybe I ;ll just order a few diffrent ones and see what I like the most.

You can try to buy wool, but your average fabric store doesn't actually carry it at this time of year. Around here at least, they only carry it around the winter, and they only carry heavy weight pant/jacket wool, which is not soft enough for baby's bottom.
