Who has used Artistic Pursuits?

I would love to hear what people thought of it. I am thinking of using it this year and wanted to get some feedback first.

Many thanks

I have to run now, but I'll try to give a quick answer.

I love Artistic Pursuits. It isn't a cookie cutter thing that makes your child copy other pieces of art, or copy an adult. It really brings out the creativity.
Also, I love the parent notes in front of each lesson (at least for the PreK one), it has really changed my perspective on art.

We just started using it; I read through the whole book first and really like what I have read. I think it'll be a good challenge for my boys (not necessarily artistically inclined) and they will learn some techniques along with way. We are using book 1 of the K-3 program (I have a rising 2nd grader and a rising 4th grader). I also bought the PreK book to have something geared towards ds#3.

Like Angela said, the art projects are not cookie-cutter type projects (as opposed to Meet the Masters - which we do 1x a month with friends and though we do like it, it does not encourage as much creativity). I like that there are pieces of artwork included in each lesson to discuss, and I also appreciate that it focuses a bit on historical time periods (we do history chronologically and are in Ancient Times right now and book 1 focuses on the same time period of art).
