I've been nursing my 22 mo on demand. We're nursing about 1-3 times a day now (mostly comfort nursing) and I'm ready to slowly wean him. (Dd nursed until she was 3.5, and since I was nursing ds at the same time my milk didn't dry up). It feels so different to wean and actually be done, I almost can't comprehend it!
I have very small breasts, I don't even wear a bra. Ds preferred one breast over the other and I'm experiencing a kind of achy feeling in it along with a long mass type lump on the outside (closer to my armpit). Is this normal?? I hadn't expected any changes in my breasts since my milk production is *very* low.
I found some info about weaning on the net but they only really talk about women who wean around 6 months or 12 months, when there's a long more milk in the breast. I might get a let down once ever two days...
I've been nursing constantly for a little over 4 years so the girls are "broken in"
. Guess I'm just wondering how other women with small/tiny boobs have experienced weaning after extended bfing... aching breasts freak me out!
