local DJ - trying to get over comments

Looking for support in my irritation!

A local radio station mid-day DJ made some disparaging comments about bf'ing in public - specifically she made a big deal of the fact that she had a 'problem' with bf'ing in a restaurant. This was a few days ago. I wrote a respectful letter (well, I did express my irritation) and quoted the WHO. I also said that woman don't need more obstacles to bf'ing relationships, like feeling ostracized when NIP.

I'm not sure what I was expecting - an apology? a promise not to badmouth bf'ing anymore? Well, I got my reply and of course she didn't apologize. I guess DJs still try to be controversial on-air a la Howard Stern and I should just let it go. I'm still a little: grrrrrrrrrrr. Some commiseration, please!

(I forwarded email to my LLL leaders, but haven't heard back yet.)

A local DJ did something similar here a while back. I never had the courage you did to write/call as this DJ is often very rude to anyone who does not agree with him. Good for you for standing up for BF!

DJs make these kind of comments here all the time. It makes me angry but I don't have the energy to address every ignorant comment I hear.

If you're really brave, ask for some air time -- see if you can call in & "debate" the DJ. They will get their drama/controversy & you will get to show there are TWO sides to this story and hopefully sway some listeners!

About a year ago a local guy (a transplant from the town next to mine to my current city in TX) made a anti-NIP comment and I wrote him a letter as well. He's not a shock jock, but he is not as "nice" as Kim Commando either.
