Pains 3 months after pregnancy

I have a 3 month old DD. She is my second baby. Throughout my pregnancy I developed varicose veins in my pelvic/vulvar area. After the pregnancy I was having some leg cramps and noticed a lot of blue veins all over my legs. I went to see a vascular doctor who told me I have vein insufficiency and that I had some phlebitis in some of mt veins that should go away on it's own. Which it did, I think, but I think it flares up every once in a while.

I have been feeling some shooting pains in my pelvic area and through my vagina. I mentioned it to my doctor and he didn't seem to know why I was having them or be concerned about it.

My question is to anyone who had varicose vein issues during pregnancy, even though the varicosities shrunk back down did you feel any after pains and for how long?

My body just doesn't feel right yet. I had a vaginal delivery, got back down to my normal weight and am very active. I still have so many strange aches and pains. It's causing me a lot of anxiety!

I would appreciate hearing anyone elses stories or advice.

Thanks.

I'm almost 3 months post partum also. And I had varicose veins in my legs for my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. This third oen really flared up around 20 weeks and my midwife suggested support hose. They were awesome and I couldn't survive an hour or two without them. I was supposed to be wearing them for 6 weeks post partum, but never bothered after 2 weeks or so. The veins disappeard a lot faster this time (by a month maybe). Last time I had a hard knot of a vein that developed during labor and felt like a bruise for a while.

Anyways...
My veins stopped bothering me awhile ago. But during the last two weeks they have started bothering me again. I'm thinking I'm PMS'ing because of the other symptoms. I can't think of any other reason why my leg would feel like it had a couple of needles stuck in my leg muscles (reminds me of the day after a shot). I feel like I can barely stand for more than 15 minutes without noticing it. I'm praying it's hormone related and will go away soon.

I had a lot of aches and pains for a good 3 or more months after birth, and I didn't have any varicosities that I'm aware of.

Thanks ladies! I'm just feeling so many weird things I've never felt before, like muscle twitches and spasms and shooting pains. I keep blaming it all on vein issues, but am not sure if that's what it is.

I've never had health-related anxiety like this before. It's keeping me awake at night and I'm actually going to talk to a therapist about it next week. Yes, it's come to that! I just want to feel good and normal again!
