CDing while Camping Success Story!

I posted some questions about this awhile back, so I thought I would share my story. I just got back from a 4 day 3 night camping trip in 95 degree humidity and cloth diapered the whole time.

I was concerned about mildew so I hung wet dipes on a clothesline and as they dried I put them in a wetbag. I never had more than 6 on the line at a time. Poopy ones I did put in a pail with a little water and borax. DD is 7mo.

More details please! We're doing a lot of camping this summer! What type of diapers? What did you use to wash them out in? I might end up hand washing dipes while we move.

We're only doing a 3-day, 2-night trip, and I'm not worried about the shorter camp-out at all.

We camped twice when ds#2 was in diapers (I don't remember camping with ds#3 when he was in CDs). Both times we took flats and mostly PUL covers (wool for night). We washed the pee ones by hand and hung them to dry on the EZ-Up tarp we took. (The poopie diapers got rinsed and either washed in a machine (one place we went had coin-op machines), or "washed" in a bucket but then taken out of rotation. I think I took 4 dozen flats (I can't remember - it was six years ago!) to make sure we had enough. It was super easy with flats and hand-washing.

pfs and fleece covers. Some of my pfs I added snaps to to make them more like fitteds so she could be coverless/cooler a lot. I washed them as soon as I got home as normal (I didn't do any washing while camping) It was 33 dipes that I washed plus doublers for the 3 nights and the one that was left soaking from the morning we left (silly me, I count them as I fold)
