How are you storing your milk?

I have a few milk storage bags I got as samples. I have a couple from lansinoh. I love how cheap (in price) they are and that they hold a lot of milk. Though I've heard many bad reviews that they leak while thawing. I have yet to see for myself. I have a few from medela, the pump and save. I love the concept of pumping right in the bag but they are so small and I have a small freezer and would like to store using bigger bags to save space.

What are you using? Do you love it?

I just found the first years easy pour milk storage bags that are pretty
cheap and can hold up to 6oz...anyone ever use this one?

With DD1, I liked the Gerber brand bags best... Now they go by "Nuk" and are available at Target (and others, I'm sure). They're just like the Lansinoh bags, but a bit cheaper. They also hold 6 oz, but I usually filled them only to 5 oz. I didn't want to thaw out large amounts and have it go to waste, and the math was easier when I was thawing and freezing regularly and needed to keep tabs on my stash.

I did have occasional leaks, but I think that was more common when the bags got beaten up in the freezer, moving things around, etc. I freeze them flat on top of each other and then put them in gallon freezer bags for added protection and organization.

I love Lansinoh bags. They're worth the cost! I have heard bad things about The First Years bags. A good friend lost a lot of milk in those bags, I think due to seal problems. I'm pumping once a day and just freezing what I get. It's usually 3-4 oz, which is perfect for a feeding. I don't want to thaw more than I need and have it go to waste.

Well my 3 month old, yes she's 3 months , is up to 5 ounces at each feeding, so I freeze usually in 5 ounces at a time. I do have some Lansinoh bags that I use and freeze them lying flat so that it's more compact when it freezes and I can stack them. I also use Avent cups, they are 6 ounce cups and come in packages of 10, Target mispriced them and I'm getting a 10 pack for $3.74 even though the list price now says $14.99. I've gone through 6+ packages of them filling them to 5 ounces and 25 filled to 5 lansinoh bags.

Again laying flat to freeze is the key here I think. Good Luck mam!!!
