18 month old gags

My 18 month old has a bit of a head cold. I really doubt it's anything more. He's eating a few solids still, mostly snacks. And takes his bottle well. But for some reason, most of the times he's nursed in teh last 2 days, he's gagged. Pretty much immediately when I put him to the breast.
Last night he nursed before bed and I laid him down. Soon as I walked out he started crying, which is abnormal. So I went back in and held him and he threw up just a little.
I really don't think he has a tummy ache. He handles his goat's milk and snacks just fine. I tasted my breastmilk and it tastes fine. I'm on clomid this month but I was last month too and no issues.
ETA. I thought of one more thing. He's allergic to milk and I've been eating and drinking a little more dairy for the past 2 weeks or so. Not crazy so. And in the past 1.5 yrs I never limited my dairy. I always ate as much as I wanted. So I dunno if that slight increase could be it... And why is he only gagging the last 2 days?
Help!!

I'm going to move this out to the general Breastfeeding forum. You may get more answers in there.
