So tired and I think that I am in labor...

Hi there,
39 wks 4 days here and I have been having contractions between 4-6mins apart for 2 hours. Problem is it is 10pm here and today was a weird day where I woke up at 4am to do some nesting.

I am so so so tired....can I drink coffee or what do you all recommend to help me get through this?

try laying down and getting some rest. Your contractions might fizzle out and you can sleep or at least you can rest yourself a little. Don't try to keep yourself up with artificial means. If you really are in labor, the labor will keep you up eventually! Good luck!

Definitely rest! As my MW told me, even if you don't sleep but relax your body and mind, it will be restorative and help you. It was great advice in my 2nd labor - much needed after trying to stay up too long and force things with the first one, where I ended up just worn out.

A glass of wine and warm bath are standard midwifery "cures" for early labor. Whether or not it stops the contractions (which will only happen if it's NOT real labor), it will help you relax and hopefully get some good sleep before it's go time.
