I don't know the answer to your question..but my ic's were actually darker than my frer so far. I got my ic's from amazon..wondfo test strips!! On dpo 8 I thought I saw something on my ic but my frer was pretty much white (although I thought I may have seen something)..on dpo 9 both were clearly visable, but ic was darker than frer.

Well, I can tell you, I'd use the ICs until you see a possible smudge - I had a HUGE squinter (like you could barely see it at all) this morning at 11dpo on a $tree (which is supposedly 25 miu but anecdotally has come in at 7miu) and a nice line on the FRER, but yesterday had a totally white FRER. I've heard the FRERs test a 6-10miu, but if you haven't implanted yet, nothing is going to show up, kwim? So keep testing with the ICs - at that low low range, you will be doubling VERY quickly anyway, so a few hours could mean the difference between a line and BFN.

This chart has the sensitivities for lots of different tests, maybe it will help answer your question:

Thanks it says first response is 12.5 so my IC's are more sensitive so will stick with them for now.
