Window-Gardening Advice (east vs. west windows)

I'm gardening tomatoes, some cherry, some heirloom, some peppers (okay, peppers aren't tomatoes... ) in window-boxes.

We have three window spaces facing northeasterly, two easterly, and three southwesterly.

Obviously the easterly plants grow better.

Now I'm on to my second batch of plants. Should I displace the first tomatoes, which have unripe fruit on them, and move them to the westerly windows, and put the new starters in the easterly positions? Or should I wait until the first fruits of the easterly plants and then switch them? We're in Germany so the growing season is short.

Thanks!

I would just keep experimenting and see what does best. Sounds like its working well if you have tomatoes coming on. They need at least six hours of light or more. GL!

Yeah, we got a red one but only in the window facing east. Sigh. Thanks for the encouragement. I really want the heirlooms to bloom. We're very far north and they're not nearly big enough yet.
