Uses for smaller prefolds after baby grows out of them?

My 4 month old is growing out of his newborn prefolds. I use them for spitup cloths and doublers, but is there anything else I can use them for? I have a ton of them

Dusting and car-washing.

Use them instead of paper towels

I use mine damp on the floor with my foot to give the floors a wipe.

I've used them as mama pads.

I cut out my mama pad shape, put some minky on top, fleece on bottom and they are good to go! Some mama's just tri-fold them with some tighter underwear and it works as well.

I am still trifolding them in a cover on my HUGE 7mo (she is 27.5lbs and over 30in) They soak up a ton of pee and are trim, which I love. I have bigger pfs I use when I am expecting a poopy dipe though

I'd get them another baby -- either by saving, selling or giving them away. A single newborn doesn't wear out that size prefolds enough to justify turning them into rags yet. They do make WONDERFUL cleaning cloths, though, and when they are so tattered you don't want to use them to clean, they can go into the compost bin since they're 100% cotton.

I trifold them and use them as inserts in my size medium pocket diapers. I also keep a few stashed in the car for spills, spit ups, or car seat accidents.

They make wonderful sweat rags for DH in the garage while he's working on his latest woodworking project.
