Small drop in Hcg, Still Hope?? *6/22 UPDATE*

6/22 UPDATE ON LAST POST

Hi ladies ! I'm new to this board but am a member of some other TTC boards but thought this question would be better here. I'm desperate for some hope.
I'm a 26 year old healthy mama of a 2 1/2 year old girl. My husband and I have been trying for #2 for almost 6 months. I had a chemical pregnancy last month and got pregnant this month. I'm pretty sure I'm about 5 1/2 weeks along. I have had 3 Hcg Beta's:
6/10: 508
6/16: 4557
6/18 4492
Its sooo close! It only dropped 65. I've had no cramping, spotting or bleeding. I'm having an ultrasound and bloodwork again on Monday (seems so far away ). I KNOW they are SUPPOSED to double but could there be any other reason why they have pretty much stayed the same? Possible Ectopic, I've heard...Vanishing twin? I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced a similar thing and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I'm sorry you're going through this.
The numbers seems about right for 5 weeks, I'm not sure why they aren't increasing after such a strong increase...they doubled in less than 48 hours up to the 6/18 draw.
Lab error? Vanishing twin? I hope you get great results on Monday and try not to stress (so much easier said than done, trust me I know).

Thank you for your response. I'm trying not to stress but it is so hard. I'm not getting alot of answers which worries me too but I'm going to try to stay positive. Have you ever heard of the numbders just stalling like this and the pregnancy being ok?

I don't think one embryo could show any drop and still be viable, but it's very possible that you have a vanishing twin, and I hope that's what it is. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Sadly, I don't know what it means mama, but I am really sorry you are going through this. You will be in my thoughts and I will be sending vibes your way!

Did you go to the same lab for all draws? That could be different. Otherwise I am sorry you are going through this and unless there is a vanishing twin, you should haven't any drop over 2 days. You should have seen a substantial increase. Hugs.

Nope didn't go to different labs I'm still praying for a lab error I guess....will be going back on Monday. In my research travels , I have heard of a FEW instances where the number stalled (because these numbers are statistically "the same"--said the dr.) and then went back up. Trying not to be too hopeful though. Also they say sometimes an ultrasound is more reliable at this point in determining the viability of the pregnancy since Hcg numbers can do such funny things....

Small drop in Hcg UPDATE**

I just wanted to post and update everyone on this situation. I went to the Dr. today to get my beta's done again and low and behold..... There was a lab error from Friday!!! I couldn't beleive it! They also found a sac and a yolk in the ultrasound!! No heartbeat yet as I'm only 5 weeks 5 days along. But, I am so happy to report that the beta from friday was actually 7141...which means it jumped from 4557 to 7141 (not from 4557 to 4492 like we originaly thought) in 48 hours! I'm still waiting to hear what the results are from today's draw but this just proves there is such a thing as a lab error! I'm so happy. Now hopefully there is a baby in that sac!! I'll keep ya'll posted!

Oh my, such wonderful news mama!

On the other side, how scary that the lab made an error like that...especially when some doctors like to push D&Cs.... yikes....
