I am looking for a calendar to hang in our school room. My kids are 1 and 4. Does anyone have any links to where to purchase one? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

We are now using the Melissa and Doug calendar and I like it, but I think it has too much to be a really hands-on thing. There are TONS of little activity pieces to add to the day and all the pieces (numbers, etc.) are very small. I used something like this for years when I was teaching and I loved it. http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Resou...993204&sr=8-11
It is basic enough to take down and let the kids do calendar with you, and they won't be distracted by all the other "stuff" that the M&D calendar has. It is also small enough for a homeschool classroom. Some of the ones that are out there are HUGE.

Here is yet another way to make your own calender and present the year in a less linear way...it would be cyclical or circular.

Also, we have a calender purchased from office depot that looks much like the preschool-school ones. Vinyl pockets, with months, days, seasons, days of the week, etc...traditional Western calender, linear. It was around $35. I advise laminating everything first, then cutting the numbers and such out.

Last year we did Carol's affordable curriculum ( www.carolsaffordablecurriculum.com ) which came with a simple paper print out calander for each month and little things to cut out of paper and put on each day. One month I didn't order, and just found a website with a print out calander and let the kids put stickers on it. BTW- I really enjoyed Carol's stuff with my toddler as an inexpensive kit of stuff to do each month.
