How to Strip Teflon from DH's Uniform?

Okay, I have no sources to site but I'm aware that Teflon and other chemicals which are put onto clothing can be hazardous. I think I may have even seen something linking it (correlation not causation!) with autism.

Anyway, DH got new uniforms and all of the pants have the "Teflon" tag. How do I strip this off? Is it possible? I'm concerned with the fact that Dh's pride and joy are so close to these chemicals!

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

What kind of uniforms are they? If they are military uniforms, you don't want to strip anything from them, they are made in a specific way to camouflage him in different situations.

No, he is not in the military...he works for 911 but his uniform is composed of embroidered shirts and BDUs. He is in an office so I'm not worried about camouflage.

I've done some more research and from what I can find that starting in 2011 Teflon shouldn't be part of clothing anymore (due to the C8) but that there might not be a way to get it off. Has anyone had any luck?

Thanks!
