telling time and using money help needed - Page 2

My dd is born in 1/03 and she has only over the past 6 months been interested in time and money. She's pretty much got the o'clocks and 1/2 past time down. Nothing beyond that. She usually knows the value of the coins but not always. She wouldn't begin to know how to give change. I'd say she's about on par with most of her friends. I am constantly amazed on these forums at what children can do at such young ages. We must have a pretty backward bunch of kids here on the west coast of Canada!

Yeah, all kids are different, but my 7 yr old DD doesn't know how to tell time, nor is she interested in it at all. I doubt she will be interested for a while longer. We got her a very cute watch, but it didn't excite her to learn about telling time. She knows the names of some coins and sometimes gets the values right, but again...she's really not interested yet.
