Seattle area June, where is summer?

The month is almost over and I didn't see a thread so I decided to start one. I saw last year's thread for June was title heat wave and I wish it had been reversed -- I was pregnant last year and more tolerant of cold, less tolerant of heat than usual. This year is the one I'd love to be pregnant for. Oh well. Anyway, how are the local Seattle-ish folks doing with this cool gray weather? Any summer plans? Anyone still up for a clothing swap? I need to declutter a bit before I try to fit a bunch of folks into my apartment or I'd offer up my place. I may still do it if nobody else is up for it, as long as folks don't mind being cozy and surrounded with clutter.

Funny you should post this today... I think I am officially losing my mind with this weather and early PG irritability & crankiness! I looked today and we've had 7 days of sun out of 20! Not looking too good in upcoming weeks either. Waaa I want summer! My space heater is on as I type and will probably make fire later.

Have family from Cali and Hawaii coming next week. They are all cheery about cold weather as they are all fine on sun and warmth. Argh! Going back to see DH's fam in Philly next month so I'm sure I'll get all the heat I need then.

Just did a big consignment run so not a lot of clothes to swap.

How do I find the Seattle area ladies on this site? I'm very new

The Seattle API Chapter is popular, this board is no so much at least around here (Portland's much more active on MDC for some reason). Link: http://www.apiseattle.org/

Ugh, I agree! We get teaser days, then days like today where it's freezing!

Since I was pregnant up until last Tuesday, I was really enjoying the cooler weather! I would wear a tank top and shorts and open the sliding door to cool off, while DH wore long sleeves and long pants and huddled under blankets on the couch. It was nice to get a break from the heat for one of my pregnancies.

My garden, however, is ready for some heat!

I hear summer was cancelled due to the rain.

Depressing. I want the sun! It comes out in breif intervals just to remind us of what we're missing.

I guess there's always a trip over the Cascades to the sun there, but it seems like even over there they've been having rain!

Yeah, I've been complaining about this horrid weather since May It seems like we are skipping summer and going straight to fall. My garden is very unhappy.

I'm glad I'm not the only moaning about it.

I feel like we went from Fall, had one week of Winter when it got cold for a few days back in December, and then went back to Fall. No spring, no summer. Ugh! Though I would like to avoid the 103 degree days like last summer, I had mastitis and a newborn then and it was miserable!

I don't have a lot to swap clothing wise right now, but I love getting together. If people want to head out towards Carnation, I could host mid-July if there is interest.

Speaking of clothing.... Anybody have any xs maternity clothes? I know from experience they are impossible to find. So I'm looking early this time around. I got rid of everything after the last baby... Oops

My grandma does enough canning for my entire extended family... I never picked up an interest.

Everyone see the weather report for this week? Looks like summer is really finally just around the corner.

Ditto!!! Except I was pregnant until last Friday. SO GLAD I missed the heat wave! Not that nursing a newborn all day at home in the heat has been the greatest - my house has horrible insulation - but still much better than being preggo or giving birth in 90+ temps!

Next week is sounding much better to me. Mostly sunny, upper 60s/low 70s. I'm hoping I'll be up to more outings by then so dd1 can go play at the park/beach/etc.
