My older dd (8) wants to see Toy Story 3. My baby girl is only 18 months. Their dad usually takes the 8-year-old to movies these days, but he is swamped with work and just isn't going to be able to.
The 8-year-old is my high needs child, and the toddler seems pretty quiet and serene, although maybe she just seems that way because I compare her to the older one. Anyway, she's reasonable quiet and not terribly active, however of course she is 18 months old.
Do you think an 18-month-old can handle sitting through a movie? If you are in a similar situation, particularly if you're a single mom or your husband is deployed or your partner can't take the child to a movie for whatever reason, how do you handle this kind of thing?
I've never actualy taken a toddler to a movie since my older dd was so high needs and wouldn't have been able to handle it. Someone somewhere must go to movies with toddlers. Please tell me your experiences.
