My kid is sleeping on the floor. - Page 2

My DD sleeps in the hallway. This is her choice and after what we went through with her last fall with the bedtime battles, I am not messing with it. My mom bought her a nice PBK sleeping bag for her birthday.

My co sleeping from birth 2.5 year old son loves the cold hard floor. He usually starts out int he family bed, migrates to his mattress on the floor next to me and ends up on the floor by morning.

Sometimes he will nurse down, then just as you think it's safe to roll over he will get up, wander out to the dark living room and go to sleep on the floor. I usually wait till he gets into the limp stage and move him onto the bedroom.

Get her a tatami mat (or, a yoga mat). If people hassle you, tell her you're allowing DD to experiment with her interpretations of world cultures.

Two out of three of my kids are sleeping on the floor tonight. Dd in the living room, ds1 on the floor of my room. Ds1 is three and often prefers to fall asleep on the floor rather than his bed. His favorite spots are the hallway, his sisters bedroom and a little space between the two beds in his room (it's about 2.5 ft wide.) We've just gone with it because he is such a crappy sleeper, I'm just happy he's sleeping instead of crying because he's over-tired.
