Growth spurts?

Ok I feel like a new mom even though it'sonly been 4 years

But dd has nursed non stop the last three days, or been cranky if she isn't asleep...all the pipes are working so I can only think it's a growth spurt...at 1mo? but she's only 3 weeks....but she was 9 days past her due date and 9lbs

So am I crazy is it a growth spurt...I can't remember the boys going through this so early! But she is a FIERCE eater...heck tonight I pumped to give the boys the chance to feed her (and my arms a break) and she killed a 3oz bottle and cried till I nursed her for 15 mins! Then she was content to fall asleep and relax for 2 hours...when she wanted to eat again!!

No advice but I haven't been able to pinpoint growthspurts with my newest and the times I think he may be in one aren't your typical ages. Thinking he's in one now at 11 wks...

Sure sounds like a growth spurt. Hopefully she settle down soon.

My DD's growth spurts have been VERY easy to pinpoint. I don't remember one until about 6 weeks though.

I read somewhere (here I think!) that major growth spurts tend to be "3-6-8"...3 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 8 months. I didn't see that until after dd1 had passed those ages but with dd2 (now 4 months), they've seemed pretty right on!

Sounds like a growth spurt to me! Your big babe is getting even bigger! My babe was 8lbs 14oz when he was born, and he was 10lbs 10oz 2 days shy of 3 weeks, and he just kept getting bigger and bigger from there! Big babies stay big for a while!

Oh goodness, she IS getting bigger...we're into 3m onesies or naked all the time because we don't have many 3m onesies (I didn't expect such a big baby so all the NB clothes didn't get used!) ....

Thanks for the advice, she nursed every hour on the nose from 7:30 till 12:30 then just laid in her bed making noises and looking around...I fell asleep and she did too on her own ...this morning she's already nursed at 4:30, 7, and 9 ....she's napping so we'll see how she is later today!

I just didn't expect a growth spurt this soon! She is such a big girl!!
