i think my cat is dying. he is having a hard time breathing.

he cant breathe properly. he wheezes and is breathing out of his mouth. not sure what to do. i want to take him to the vet but dont know which one would be the best. i [reviously posted this thread as needing a rec for the dog and a rec for the cat but now i am just worried about the cat.



i need to get my dog neutered (yorkie). i need a reccomendation for a good vet in the cedar rapids, mount vernon, lisbon, anamosa iowa area. i will not be taking my pets back to the mount vernon vet. recent issues with him have changed my opinion on his ability to properly diagnose my pets. i want a vet who is supportive of natural methods also. anybody?

How old is your cat? Is he still breathing heavy?

Mouth breathing is generally a really really bad thing. But, if after this many days, your kitty is still with us, then perhaps it's not quite the emergency I would have otherwise said it was.

Try posting in your area's tribe in the "find your tribe" forum for vet recs.

he is only 2 years old and the mouth breathing just started this morning. he has been whezzing and coughing for a couple of weeks but we couldnt afford to atke him to the vet. DH recently went back to work and now we have to spend his check on the cat.

ok not breathing out his mouth now. resting. he keeps getting under the trailer and i think he inhaled some insulation or something....
