Hi,
DD is 8 months old and we've been parttime ECing her since she was about 3 months old. We always use the word potty, but we "psss" when she pees, and grunt when she poops. However, we starting signing potty to her about 2 months ago, and since we don't really seem to know which she is going to do when we put her on, we just use the one sign, and the one word, potty. Is this okay? I don't want to confuse her by using another sign for poop.
BTW, she is a frequent pooper so it's not like we always know when she is going to do one over another. She has her regular "pooping times" (~4AM
, ~8AM, then sometime in the afternoon). Speaking of which, is it normal for her to be pooping so much? When she was 5 - 6 months, she was pooping (little squirts) upwards of 7 times a day! Thank goodness it is ony 3 -4 times now. She is primarily breastfed with some baby-led solids and about a tablespoon of rice cereal a day (the rice cereal is so I can give her probiotics, which I just started about 10 days ago).
Feel free to ignore the second part of this post since it isn't EC-related...lack of sleep makes me ramble.
Thanks!
