I was just thinking this would be a good idea for a thread!

I listen to a TON of podcasts. Here are some of my favorites:
- A History of the World in 100 Objects - Done by the BBC and the British Museum. Tells about important periods in world history through objects found in the British Museum.
- BBC History Magazine.
- American History Before 1870 - I would go so far as to consider this essential listening. I learned more from this podcast than I ever did in any of my history classes.
- The History of Rome. (Can you tell I like history?

)
- PregTASTIC - They've covered just about every pregnancy topic imaginable, and they have a good variety of birth stories as well.
- Religions of the Ancient Mediterranian - This one is about early Christianity in its Greco-Roman context. The first two "series" about the letters of Paul and the Gospels are more or less what you'd cover in a college-level New Testament class, and it branches out from there.
- The Tolkien Professor - A series of academic lectures on the works of Tolkien. Lots of fun!
- Science2Health - A continuation of the podcast Fitness Rocks (which I also recommend). Discusses issues surrounding health and how to live an optimally healthy life.
I also listen to a number of Catholic podcasts. My favorites include:
- Among Women - Features a saint profile and an interview with a modern Catholic woman who's making a difference in the Church.
- Catholic: Under the Hood - Looks at events in Church history, both highly important and less well-known.
- Meditations from Carmel - A series of meditations from the writings of Carmelite saints.
This has been quite a lengthy post, but I hope you find something of interest!
