"loose" circ?

Some friends of ours were over this weekend and when she was changing her son, I noticed that I could not see the head of his penis..but he is circ'd. She asked me about it and I told her that my guess whas that it was just trying to be covered like it was when he was born. I told her that the glans was supposed to be covered. When she was changing him, I saw her retract it and wipe off the glans. Then maybe a half an hour later, I started thinking that maybe this is what people refer to as a loose circumcision. I brought up the topic again and told her that it was probably a good thing that it was like that because her son would still have some of the protective benefits of the foreskin. I also told her that if she ever had a Dr. tell her they needed to re-circ her son that he is just fine and not to listen to them.
My question is, in this case, should she treat it as circ'd and retract and whipe since poop could get inside or should she leave it alone as if it were intact? Would it re-adhere? Thank you for your input.

I'm pretty sure it won't re-adhere if it hasn't already (sometimes circed boys get adhesions early on and if it's already like that I think it's best to leave it alone and let the body heal itself but doctors will sometimes cut/break the adhesions, leading to more pain and possible scars). What I'm trying to say is I don't think a healed circ will all of a sudden try to re-adhere. And I think yes, if he does get poop under his loose circ the caregiver has to clean it out. The glans no longer has the protective benefit of an intact foreskin, even though it may look like it.
The advantage of a loose circ over a tight one is the boy has some "growing" room with age and erections.
