schedule for one year old

I have a one year old and I am wondering if her nap times are too close to her bedtime. She has never slept well at nite. What is everyone's schedule like for your babies?
Jess is up at 7-8ish in the morning.
breakfast within 30 minutes of waking
first nap 10 until 11:30
lunch within hour of waking
second nap 3 until 5
dinner at 5:30
bed at 8

that is pretty much our schedule except bedtime is 8 30

She seems to sleep a lot! At least compared to my son! I'm also having some concerns about scheduling. I used to let him sleep whenever, but in trying to encourage better nighttime sleep, we're working on more of a schedule. So I'll be following too for any tips!

His schedule:

6-6:30 up
7 breakfast
9-10 nap (on some days, some days he skips it)
12:30 lunch
2-3:30 nap
5:30 dinner
7 bedtime routine starts
8:30 sleep

He wakes up at least 3 times a night, generally more like 5.

DD's schedule is very similar to 47jennifer:

6am: wake
9:30 - 10:30am: nap, but some days she skips it
1:30 - 3pm: nap
7:30 - 8pm: bedtime

She needs a 4-5 hour stretch before bed or it's just a huge fight. She wakes a minimum of 5 times per night.

The nap does seem close to bedtime... DS used to have a schedule on that idea & slept horribly. Then he kind of moved into this new schedule (on his own) and he sleeps soooo much better:

10:30am wake
2-4pm nap
11pm bed

I know he wakes/goes to bed really late so for someone on an earlier bedtime it would look more like:

7:30 wake
11-1 nap
8pm bed

For us I find having the nap 4-5 hours after waking is *perfect* and leaves him tired enough to sleep at 11 (otherwise he's up past midnight).

P.S. He is 16mos and dropped the second nap on his own probably around 13-14mos... It was awkward while he was transitioning though!

My DD is almost 13 months, and I think we are beginning the transition to one nap. Her schedule has been all over the place for about 2 weeks, but most typically it is like this:

6am wake up
6:30-7:30 walk/jog (stroller) with mama and daddy
7:30 - breakfast
9:30-10:30 nap
10:30 snack
12 lunch
2 snack
3-4:30 nap (if I'm lucky... if not bedtime is too early)
5:30 dinner
8-8:30 bedtime

Recently there have been a couple mid-day naps that last 2.5 hours, and then she falls asleep at 6:30pm! Then she's awake at 4:30 or 5 and everything is throw off! The transitioning seems to be back and forth for us.

My 12 mo is like 47jennifer too, complete with lots of night wakings too.

12 mo DS

Wake 5:30/6 (sometimes it's later than this...)
Nap 9ish-10ish
Nap 1:15 (This nap is tricky because I think he's also starting the 2-1 transition. Sometimes it's an hour, sometimes 30 minutes and I try to stretch it with nursing.)
Bed 7:15/30 if good naps. Bad naps then 6:30 or 7.

Over the past week, we had several days in a row of only ONE nightwaking around 4. It was AMAZING!!!! Then we had some bad naps, and we're back to 3-4 nightwakings.

breakfast within 30 minutes of waking
first nap 10 until 11:30
lunch within hour of waking

Ours starts off the same but then varies greatly after lunch!

up 7-8am
breakfast w/in 30 minutes of waking
first nap 10/10:30-11/11:30
lunch w/in 30 minutes of waking
BUT THEN
second nap 4/4:30-7/7:30 (I know, it's weird but she won't nap for me the 2nd time, she waits until DH comes home from work then conks out. We can't skip the 2nd nap or dinner is a nightmare cause she's so grouchy.)
dinner at 7:30/8
bed at 10-ish (she wakes at night to nurse 4-5 times but goes back to sleep easily with boob.) We co-sleep and all go to bed the same time.

Do you all think that's an odd schedule? It doesn't really fit with any of the ones I just saw posted.

No, I think that's basically what DS's schedule was like before he switched to one nap. Plus if your baby is happy and rested (even if it means she goes to bed close to midnight like mine!) then who cares if her schedule doesn't look like anyone else's? Probably if you shifted everything about 2 hours earlier it would look more like everyone else's though, your DD just goes to bed on the later side.

Mine was the same way, taking a late second nap and then going to bed late with us, until she switched to one nap too. People were always saying she was going to bed too late, so I would always try to put her to bed earlier, but she either wouldn't sleep or she would wake up every hour until 11 pm.

She went down to one nap at 19 month - dropping the morning nap and taking an afternoon nap immediately after lunch. Her bedtime then moved up to around 8, and she would basically be asleep until morning.

At 12 months old, DS dropped his morning nap, so it became:

6:30AM wake up
12:30-3PM nap
8PM bed

He has the same schedule now at 26 months, though we're lucky if he falls asleep before 9PM.
