I'm glad you found something that worked! FWIW, in case it comes back (and I really hope it doesn't!), my m/w recommended boric acid suppositories for me when I was 16 weeks along. I happened to have a Monistat 3 in my cupboard, so I used that and am following up with cocnut oil applied 3 times a day (not washed off).

Also, for something really persistent, you might have to cut more than flour and sugar. I had thrush (yeast in the milk ducts) for four months after my son was born. I did 4 rounds of Diflucan (8 weeks!) and it came back each time. I finally had to go on an "anti-candida" diet - no grains AT ALL, no sugars AT ALL (agave and stevia only), no dairy, no more than 3 servings of fruit each day, and no tropical fruits (banana, mango, etc.). I basically ate meat, eggs, and vegetables (but no potatoes! And limited tomatoes!) for a month. I slowly added back and the thrush was gone. It should be a safe diet in pregnancy, esp. if you use good oils like olive, flax or avacado, and take a prenatal.
