Softbums vs. Flip?

Any thoughts? I'm looking for a trim stay-dry system that's very gentle on DS' legs. The stretchier the cover the better. I'm assuming SB ships to Canada - I can get Flip anywhere...

Anyone tried both and have a preference?

I have not used the Flip system, so I cannot compare, but I must say I am very impressed by the SoftBums. They fit my long waisted, big bellied, chunky thighed 12 lb 2mo ds, my cousin's lanky 14 lb 6mo ds, my friend's thin legged 8 lb newborn, and another friend's tall, lanky 2 yo, all without problem. Even on my baby the leg openings are very gentle, I can easily fit 2 fingers in the leg opening to check for wetness (and at that setting, the diaper doesn't leak), and the elastic leaves the same kind of pink marking that one's own undies would leave on the skin. The velcro (also available w/ snap closure) does not rub or irritate the tummy or thigh. The elastic is very stretchy, and I really like the size adjusment systemt they use b/c it is so easy to change and achieve the exact fit needed. The stay-dry is so effective that my DH has trouble telling if the diaper is wet(!) b/c the liner just feels cool rather than soggy like a pf. Also, the inserts stay where they are put, no shifting or scrunching in my experience or that of my friends. I hope you find a system you love!

I LOVE our Softbums!! They are so easy to adjust to get a perfect fit, and we've never had a leak. The snap in inserts are long, but fold over to add extra absorbancy. We have lots of diapers, and Softbums are our very favorite.

As for Flips - they are fine, but I don't love them. Plus I'm hearing a lot about the Flip covers not lasting very long. We had a cover that we used maybe 5 times, and all of a sudden the elastic in one of the legs became totally shot.

I was reading about Softbums online and debating trying them. Sounds like I should try them!

I have both and prefer the Flip. I have not tried the super insert for Softbums, but I have both the bamboo and the regular microfiber and they leak, a lot. My dd is 2. I love the fit of the diapers, but I can't stand the leaking. I never get leaks with the Flip.
