Survey letter from the CDC

Anyone else get a letter informing them they were selected to participate in a survey the CDC is conducting through The National Opinion Research Center?

I suspect they are working to understand why people don't vaccinate so that they can target their propaganda to them in a more convincing manner.

My insurance company sent me a letter that my child might not be up to date. I suspect that insurance companies keep data and provide contact info for these sorts of things.

Haven't gotten one but hoping I do. Not that they'd ever target advertising towards my issues but it would be fun to tell them nonetheless.

I haven't received a survey letter. But, less than 2 months after I turned in dd's exemption to preschool, I was "randomly" selected by the CDC to take a phone survey regarding vaccines and why we made the choices we made. I told them I wasn't interested in the survey. The last thing I wanted to do was give them better ammo to throw at the next set of parents who are trying to sift through all the propaganda related to vaccinating.

ammiga, it sounds like you got the same phone call they intend to give us. I wonder if just calling without warning caught too many parents off guard and they wouldn't participate and this is an effort to introduce the idea so that it might be more positively received.

I totally agree with your summation of their motivation and I don't plan to assist them either.

I don't think I was clear in the OP. The letter I received is to let me know that I have been selected to participate in a survey and that in the next few weeks I will receive a phone call from the National Opinion Research Center. The letter itself is NOT a survey.
Maybe they took the idea from the Census where we received a note letting us know that the Census was coming.

Send me a PM if you want a copy of the letter.

I got one of those...then came the phone calls (plural) that I kept refusing. Then I started getting letters offering cash to take the survey. I finally started sending them back with 'return to sender, stop killing trees' written on them.

oh..when they called I told them to inform their customer that I refuse to help them work out how better to advertise poison.
