Do these signs mean no ovulation?

I am on my 2nd month of TTC, charting my BBT. (But I've done 4 cycles in the past too, so I have some experience).

This month I did not have an EW mucus AT ALL. FF estimated that I ovulated on CD16, when I usually do on CD21. Then my period started about 7 days early, and quite strong and red right away, rather than trailing in like it usually does.

To me this all suggests that I didn't ovulate, does anyone else agree?

Here's my chart

Sorry, had forgotten how to do that!

No, it looks to me like you did ovulate. Anovulatory charts don't tend to have a thermal shift at all. Yours definitely had a shift. If it will make you feel better, search in FF's chart gallery for anovulatory charts to see what they look like. It does look, though, like your luteal phase is a bit short, though, but that's certainly easier to deal with than anovulation. Is the lack of EWCM the only reason you think you didn't ovulate? Or is it because you bled so soon afterwards? How long does your cycle usually last? When you do get EWCM, how much time passes after that before you normally start bleeding? Answering some of these questions might start to clue you in more as to what your ovulatory pattern is. I hope that helps.
best of luck to you!

I agree, it looks like you did ovulate this cycle. You can still ovulate without EWCM, some woman get different levels of fertile CM there is no one size fits all...

agree. you o'd. sometimes we have ew and just dont find it too. i dont have a lot- i find the best time to look for it is waaaay up twirling around my cervix, give it a little squeeze, after a bm (with clean hands of course.) other than that, it's true not everyone has it, but if you search ff chart gallery for "no ewcm" it doesnt really affect conception rates either. most likely, like i said, it's up in the cervix where it needs to be, and you just dont find it. aside from that, do what you can to maximize it- tons of water, green tea, grapefruit juice, baby carrots, robitussin. some get help from evening primrose oil or a supplement called fertilecm, which i believe includes l-arginine maybe? also, pre-seed is not a substitute for ewcm, but i think there is some benefit to it.

Thanks for the responses. I have watched my cycle for 2+ years and can't say I've ever noticed an absence of EWCM before, usually it's very obvious, and all my other cycles have been between 28-31 days, with ovulation typically on CD21. This whole month seems so strange and unusual!

Oh well, thanks for replies.
