Just a vent, sort of. Dh's trying to get into an extremely competitive medical program. He applied and we waited. He got a certified letter saying he was selected for the short list and had an interview. And we waited. He did the interview (and dealt with some major major nerves) and we waited. His interview was last Friday and they said they'd know by Wednesday. I just went home for lunch and had a card from the mail carrier saying we had a certified letter from the college. But I can't pick it up at the post office until at least 3 because the carrier still has it and won't be back to the post office until then.
I'm going nuts here. We need to know one way or the other and now that I have an actual time that we'll know, I can hardly stand it. And it's not even for me!
This program takes 12 students a year. Out of 60 that applied. It's only once a year to get in so if he doesn't get in, we have another year to wait. Which is ok, not ideal, but ok. He'll keep taking classes and working part time (at a job he loves btw), but it would be so much easier if he just got in. Right now, we can't plan anything for the fall/winter until we know because the program is full time.
I just want to know!
