Pregnancy and the flu

Thread Starter
I'm twelve-weeks pregnant. I had a check-up with my MW yesterday and everything on the baby front is fine, but I seemed to be coming down with a sinus infection so I made an appointment with my GP for this morning. Well, I do have a sinus infection, but I also seem to have the flu.

Yay.

Any tips on helping me out through this? I've got a compromised immune system to start with (lupus) and I've been having random nose bleeds so I already had the humidifier set up.

I'm like a million-degrees all. The. Time. There has to be something more I can do than take cool baths and eat my weight in popsicles every hour.

No real suggestions just sympathy. I got sick BAD with my last 3 healthy pregnancies. Ended up on a nebulizer, steroids, torn soft tissue from coughing in this last one. Just lots of rest, probiotics, good vitamins-I REALLY like the new Raw Prenatals but I can't remember the maker right now-I'll try to find it. LOTS of water (I drank over 100oz per day with first healthy pregnancy & wasn't sick at all). Cold juice??? I wonder if there's any homeopathy that would help and possibly herbal-like bath oils, etc to help open your airways???
