using wool covers in summer

I'd like to know how many mamas use wool soakers in the summer, like 95 degree days. I have been using thirsties covers since I need to knit ds some soakers in a bigger size. Will children's protective services be at my door if I put ds in wool? lol Seriously I have some big mouth relatives who are ignorant of wool's properties. So, I know it breathes etc, but who can tell me their baby or toddler really does stay cool?

It is all my youngest 2 wore last summer. My son was 2 and if he was hot he would have complained. It was hotter where we lived in Korea then at my moms house in PA. Plus I used them year round in AL when my 3rd was at toddler and my 4th was a baby.

Here too. DS feels far cooler to the touch when I take off a wool-covered diaper than in any PUL...

I use fleece all the time, even in the 100 degree Louisiana summers... we can't use wool but the fleece breathes well and they stay nice and cool!

I used wool for my youngest because she was having seizures when she got too hot. She also had seizures from a vaccine but that is another story.

We were an all pocket diaper family previously to her arrival. Don't use any synthetics if you want maxium cooling. Just skin then cotton then wool.

They do stay cooler than PUL most definatly.
Pul is not breathable. Put a pul cover around your leg for two hours and put a wool cover around your leg for two hours. You can feel the difference for yourself.
But when it gets above 100, well, she is diaper with no cover or naked.
