Reusing Plastic Bottles to Water

So if one does not have a watering container I was thinking maybe I could use water bottles make a whole in the cork and fill the bottle with water and use it to water plants. I think this is a good idea.

I'm confused. When I think "reuse water bottles to water plants", I think you're going to fill the bottle with water, pour the water over the plants, and repeat on other plants as necessary. What kind of water bottle has a cork and why would you need to make a hole in it?

i think maybe she means those self watering things that you put in the plant so it releases water as needed?
