We were discussing today, how he did not want to share his birthmonth with the baby (jokingly, of course) We were "fantasizing" babies perfect birthday. Just out of curiosity, I put the first day of my last period into a due date calculator too see around when the baby would be born if we conceived this month (we are not planning to actually try until next month, this month we are still preventing) and up popped DHs birthday He decided that there could be no "mistakes" this month, and made me go buy more condoms.

Lol. We're going to start trying in August, as I don't want to be very pregnant and giving birth in the dark & cold & potential snowstorms of winter! Our mantra when we don't WANT to grab a condom but know we should to be safe is "no February babies! no February babies!"

I wish I had been thinking that far ahead a few Aprils ago, when I went and concieved a baby who barely missed a Christmas birthday. (Of course, I wouldn't change things now )

Yeah. we had been using mostly withdrawl, due to my hate of condoms, and because we had ran out of condoms, and were being lazy. I teased him all day about it, joking about him sharing his birthday.

Yeah, December is on our "blacklist" too, due to too many family birthdays and of course Christmas. Of course we will be happy no matter what happens

Haha! Thats funny. My DP and his family have this huge superstition about the Celtics winning and making babies because all 3 of them were conceived during winning seasons and so was our first son. So, during the season he was the making sure we always used condoms because he wasn't ready yet...sure enough, as soon as the Celtics lost he wanted to get lucky--without one.

Either way, it doesn't matter now because he is completely on board for trying to have another within the next few months!! However, I may be the one grabbing the condoms though because I really don't want to conceive in july or august because I would have the baby during busy season at his restaurant...soon to be 2 restaurants! So, it is either conceive within this week or we're waiting! Haha!

I am still waiting for AF or a +, but I think I Od later than I was expecting. I mentioned to DH that I would love an Earth Day baby LOL and he called me a hippie.

Heh. I used to think it was crazy to plan something as monumental as having a baby around something as trivial as a birthday. Now I've realised our next year's TTC plans would, if we managed to conceive on the first month (which, yes, I realise isn't a given), give us a December baby. As it is my family has birthdays on the 12th, 20th and 30th of December. I'm seriously considering waiting an extra month - the downside being I'd then be heavily pregnant in December/January rather than November/December, which would mean hotter summer. My last baby was born in March and I did NOT enjoy that last trimester in the sweltering heat!

On an even more shallow note, I hope I time at least one baby so I can be huge in winter rather than summer. I have this idea for sewing a really swishy maternity coat. Plus, you can do cunning things with layers and scarves and so on. Hey, pregnancy isn't glamorous - one may as well extract what fashion potential one can out of the situation!

August is the month we are going to avoid we will be ttc next summer but plan to avoid any month that could land us with an august baby. I personally don't like august for no reason at all and he doesn't like it because all his siblings (except him) are august babies. We are shooting for an April/may baby.
