Someone talk me off my ledge please! Lol

Okay, so I had my 8 week appointment yesterday (they actually dated me at 8 w 4 days). Because it's so early and because I have a tipped uterus they were not able to hear a heartbeat with doppler yet and the nurse practitioner ordered a sonogram at an imaging office near my house just to appease my fears. Now I have all these doomsday scenarios in my head about why the sonogram is going to be devastating.... why couldn't they hear the heartbeat at 8 weeks (yes I know it's incredibly early), it seems like my symptoms might be easing up, why am I not feeling as crampy in the uterus lately, my breasts were KILLING me the other night and tonight they just sort of hurt, I haven't had much nausea to speak of....yeah that was all going through my head from about 2:30 a.m. to about 4 a.m as I lay in bed sweating and sobbing. I know that kind of behavior isn't good for me at all, but I keep thinking back to that day in the ER in January when they looked and found....nothing.

I have a tipped uterus, and they were not able to hear anything at 10 weeks. We just had an ultrasound for the NT test and this little baby was rocking and rolling in there (sorry, baby, mama needed a latte to get up that early!). And my symptoms have been easing up a lot earlier than with DS, so I was a little freaked by that. And honestly, the first words out of my mouth during the u/s was "wow, I really AM pregnant". I think a part of me secretly wondered.

I have never experienced a loss, so I don't know how to calm your fears. I hope you can find out what is going on soon so you can start to relax.

I have been there, tipped uterus and all.
Pregancy after loss (early or late) will certainly try your nerves and teach you a lot of letting go and just breathing. 8 and even 9 weeks are WAY too early to hear baby's hb on most women (even without the tipped uterus)

The best advise I can give is to love up your little one for as long as you have ANY reason to believe they are still with you. (I talked for hours to my little ones I lost last year after I knew they were gone, their bodies were still with me. I still talk to them quite a bit even now.) Be honest with your self about your fears, cry, and resolve to keep going. Unspoken worry and tension and fear are far more detrimental than facing it all head on, throwing a fit about it and then moving forward.

Let us know how your ultrasound goes.

Soooo good news ) I had the nicest ultrasound tech on the planet and she let me take a look since I was practically climbing the walls. HB at 180 beat/minute, little bean was moving all around, everything looked wonderful. What a load off my mind..... for now anyway until there's something new for me to worry about. Thanks for the support and kind words, everyone!!!

Great update!!!!

I also have a tipped uterus and they couldn't find the heartbeat on dopplar at 11weeks - well the dr. said he heard it briefly, but I sure couldn't hear it!

At 15 weeks it was loud as can be. Very normal. Glad everything is ok and you got to see your little one!!

Yay! Glad to hear everything is fine!

I sympathize with the tipped uterus ordeal. They've had to hunt and hunt and poke and prod to find the hb every single time except this time (20 wks) when they FINALLY heard it almost right away.

I know how scary those ultrasounds can be. I had to have one at 14 wks due to bleeding and I started crying with relief when the ultrasound tech said "the baby is viable".

Hugs!

(BTW, I have a Noah too! Great name! )
