I'm not too crazy about my son ingesting fluoride and would be okay with it it being applied topically in treatments. I was told by my pedi that if he did this twice a year (spaced 6 months apart) we could just do that and get any vitamin without fluoride in it. As far as toothpaste - we have been using Tom's non fluroide since he doesn't always spit well - plus, even if he did, the treatments would be sufficient, right? My son's first dental appointment is in a couple weeks so I will ask the dentist but just curious what others do.
Shamed to admit - currently he gets vitamins with Fluoride. I have a friend who gives her son the topical treatments at the dentist plus, every other day gives him vitamins with fluoride AND he brushes with fluoride toothpaste. hmmm...
