Hi! I sooo do not have a green thumb, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me out. I have an area in my small backyard that is deeply shaded by our screened-in porch and large trees. It's right under the overhang from the porch roof, so tends to get a lot of water from run-off (no gutters) when it rains. Also, I live in Ohio, so occasionally we do get droughts. I'd prefer something perennial. What kind of plants would be good in this area?

THANK YOU! This is right up my alley! I've even found a local plants nursery with tons of good info on it.
