Can you....?

I have been using my Haute Pockets as a diaper cover for my son's prefolds (because they are one size) and I've been noticing a bit of a smelly issue with them. if you dont already know they are PUL on the outside with a fleece lining on the inside. I launder all my cloth diapers in Charlies Soap, but I was wondering if you can strip diaper covers? Is that what I should do to the Haute Pockets? If so...how exactly would I do that? Thanks mamas!

If you're been using Charlie's you might just need to disinfect the pockets as opposed to stripping them to remove buildup. I doubt it's buildup. Much more likely that it's bacteria. To kill bacteria, you could add a bit of bleach to the next wash or wash on sanitize if you have that option. I would personally just wash in Tide but I know many people have objections to Tide.

I use Charlies and always just stop the washer on the hot wash with soap. It really helps thing that are synthetic to not smell. I have never had smell issues since I have started using Charlies and this method.

I think a soak in a oxygyn cleaner would be enough to help as well.

It is true that Charlies does not disinfect. Really does any laundry soap?

Thanks Mamas! I'll have to try the soaking method!
