how do you store pretend felt food?

What started out as a simple upgrade to my daughter's kitchen has now turned into an extreme makeover.
This mommy is going overboard.
Anyway, I've asked my mom to crochet some lovely little items and I'm working on some felt foods as well.
Now, I'm not sure how to store them in her kitchen. Does that make any sense?
At first I thought of little tiny mason jars but she's still too young to open these jars and I'm afraid the heavy glass may not be advisable.
Does anyone have an inventive way to store your felt foods?
For example, how do you store penne pasta or bowtie pasta? I'm really looking for storage for those smaller, high quantity items like pasta.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

In pretend felt tupperware?

I would look for those tiny tupperware's you get for lunch boxes - i have a tiny one which holds 7 grapes! A stack of those would be cute, would keep the food clean, and are see-through so she could see what she's "cooking" before she opened them. I know my DD could manage the lids at 24months (she used to empty lentils all over the kitchen floor) but ymmv on that.

Gosh, why didn't I think of that? Seriously, I have already asked my mom to crochet bamboo steamers. I'm sure she can make crocheted 'canisters'.

Thanks GoBecGo.

I'm so psyched. I might wind up playing with her new kitchen more than she will. lol.

Is this one of those bonuses of motherhood, I get to relive my childhood imagination days?

we use many things. in canvas bags very simple pillow case style with a piece of velcro to close the bag. each bag has i pic on it so you know whats in it. bowtie pasta bag has mini bowtie pasta sewn on the front. i did this for all dry goods. they go on a wooden frame storage unit that has fabric containers. i have a cotton drawstring bag i made and put fleece icecream on the front for all the icecream it gets stored in the freezer. i do have wooden containers for tea and sugar. we also have tins for storing food.

DD has a set of 2 shelves that house most of her pretend food. They go in various thrifted containers, such as stainless steel bowls, baskets, wood bowls, crocheted rainbow nesting bowls that I made, trays, etc. Everything is in the open so she can see it. The only food not in the open is her wood food in wood crates and they are stored in her "fridge"
